MATERNITY SESSION IN WOODBRIDGE, VIRGINIA BY A NORTHERN VIRGINIA MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER
Taking days off during Thanksgiving was a much needed break that I truly enjoyed. I wish I can say how relaxing taking a break from work is. But with a 4-month old baby and 2 school-aged kids at home, my days off from work have never been relaxing. But, they’ve always been fulfilling and have always made my heart so happy. So I am grateful for those days that I was able to enjoy and spend solely with my family. And now I’m back to share with you the maternity photos that I took before my Thanksgiving break at Lake Ridge Marina in Woodbridge, Virginia. This is the first maternity session that I did since Baby R was born so I am having some good flashbacks of my own maternity photoshoot.
J, the mom, is very fortunate because she is loved so much by the boys in her life. They didn’t tell me; but I saw it while I was taking J’s maternity photos. It’s in the way the kids followed my every instructions. I didn’t see that as me being great at giving instructions, they followed my every instructions because they know how important the maternity pictures are for their mom. It’s in the way T, the dad, looks at J; and the way he kisses her just because. Seriously, it was wonderful witnessing how much T loves J; it was such a privilege to be a part of something beautiful like that.
It was a cloudy afternoon when we did J’s maternity session and we didn’t get any fall colors. BUT… I still love how their maternity pictures turned out because of all the love & joy overflowing from each family member. J is full of glow… yes, she has that beautiful pregnancy glow, but I am talking about the kind of glow that you get because you are just simply happy, peaceful, and contented with the life that you have, because you know you are so loved. She has that glow. No wonder she is a very gorgeous mama!
J & T – Thank you so much for trusting me to document this special time in your lives. Taking your maternity photos in Woodbridge, Virginia and being a witness to all the love your family have was truly an honor. Seriously what I saw was very beautiful, way more beautiful than any fall colors we could have had. 🙂 Can’t wait to see you guys next year to document the birth of your precious baby.
