NEWBORN SESSION BY NORTHERN VIRGINIA PHOTOGRAPHER

I kicked off the month of August with the sweetest, in-home newborn pictures in Northern Virginia. The weather outside might have been gloomy and dreary, but the atmosphere inside this family’s home was nothing but bright and warm as they cuddled close around their newest addition. J (the dad), E (the mom), M (the big brother), H (the new baby girl) and their adorable pup, T, were so fun to capture! Their session was full of laughter, story time and as many cuddles as big brother, M, could squeeze in on his new baby sister, H.

M and H are already quite the pair. Watching him take on his role as a big brother was so sweet. M is a natural! He absolutely adores his baby sister and clearly can’t get enough of her. At one point during the session, H was laid on the bed so I could capture a few images of her by herself. M just couldn’t resist the urge to lay beside her to shower her with gentle hugs and kisses. When it was Mama’s turn to have a few pictures made with H, M had to rush right back over to snuggle beside his Mama and stare lovingly at sweet H. The way he looks at her is so beautiful.

M also made me feel right at home. He was so excited to show me his room and all of his favorite stuffy toys. He also showed me how well he could count! He put such a smile on my face and made these in-home newborn pictures in Northern Virginia feel so natural and easy. M is such a fun, smart and friendly little boy. I know how proud J and E must be of him. I can only imagine all of the wonderful things he will teach his new baby sister, H. She is a lucky little girl to be born into a family so full of love for one another. They are a beautiful family and the way that they look at one another with so much tenderness and gratefulness would melt your heart.

J and E – it was truly an honor to capture these precious memories for your family. Time flies so quickly. M and H won’t always be so little but I hope the images you received from this session allow you to remember and hold onto the sweet beginnings of their journey as siblings. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of these memories and for allowing me to style beautiful, sweet H with pieces from my client closet. I am so happy for your growing family and hope you enjoy the way I see you all through my lens!
